Next Scheduled Young Eagles Events - 21 Mar (CEW) & 4 Apr (DFN) 21 Mar 2009 Bob Sutherland is the POC for the 21 March Young Eagles Flying, and it will be a bit different this time. Jonathan Dunn, the new Crestview FBO, has volunteered the use of the CEW FBO facilities. Brad Hall, Jonathan's able assistant, said the FBO will sell aviation fuel to our pilots at a discount for the Young Eagles Flying. Brad will also make an area available where we can set up chairs from the Hangarmates hangar. Even though the chapter will provide no food, the FBO will provide free coffee and hot chocolate. The FBO also has vending machines where soft drinks and snacks can be purchased. Neither our president, Gary Bean, nor I will be able to attend on 21 March. However, Gary and I both plan to help out with the 4 April Young Eagles Flying at DeFuniak Springs airport. Gregg Costabile will be the POC for that event. 4 Apr 2009 Gregg Costabile will be coordinating this month's event at DeFuniak Airport in coordination again with Jonathan Dunn. Our second Spring 09 YE Day will provide local youths with what might be a once in a lifetime experience. Please show your support and help out in any way you are able. |
